Bananaquit Apartments was born in 2002. A little haven amidst the activity in the popular Crown Point area. Comfortable yet affordable, self catered rooms with a peaceful garden view, suited to the traveller as a home away from home, while exploring the rest of the island.. Our tropical garden has a large Mango tree at its heart, and is scattered with Banana, Cherry, Papaya and Pommcytere trees.Bananaquit adopted its name from the friendly litte yellow-breasted bird, which is no stranger to our fruitful garden, and easily tempted to your breakfast table with a sweet and fruity invitation. Known as the Bananaquit here in Tobago, it is called a variety of names throughout the caribbean.... the Chibichibi, the Honey creeper or the Sugar bird.We are a family owned business, so our visitors are treated as our own personal house guests. The owners. are a British/ Trinidadian couple with over 20 years experience in the hotel industry. They have now passed on the reins of management to their daughter, who has recently returned from living in18 years in UK and Sweden. She is therefore no stranger to the standards and expectations of the European tourist, yet still very much a local, and eager to have her guests experience the TRUE colours of Tobago.

To confirm a reservation, you will be provided with bank account details to make a deposit - notification of payment of deposit is required. Alternatively a credit card number with valid expiry date may be acceptable for internationals. Accepted credit cards include VISA and MASTERCARD. Note: Your reservation will not be confirmed without the above information, and BALANCE MUST BE PAID ON ARRIVAL.

Note: A security deposit of TT$300 / US$50 is due upon arrival. The deposit will be refunded upon departure, assuming no damages to the room.

CHECK IN TIME on day of arrival - NOT before 2 pm (14:00) - Please inform if you are arriving outside our core office hours 8.30 am - 5.00 pm.

CHECK OUT TIME on day of departure - NO LATER than 11:30 am.

Please note: If you have a late flight departure on day of check out, you will only be allowed to delay your check out time until 2 pm provided the room is not already booked. A late fee of 30 TT per hour will apply. If you require occupancy of the room later than 2 pm, this will be charged as an extra night depending on availability.

Cancellation Policy

As a small business, there is high demand for our accommodation, therefore we must enforce a strict cancellation and no-show policy.

For cancellations occurring 31 days or more there is no cancellation fee.

For cancellations occurring 15 - 30 days prior to scheduled arrival, a cancellation fee of 50 % of the deposit paid will apply.

Cancellations made within 14 days of scheduled arrival are subject to no refund.

Gift certificates and coupons are void once used for a room reservation that has been cancelled.

We will acccomodate movement of reservation dates wherever possible.

How to get here Flights to Tobago : www.gotrinidadandtobago.com/travel-information/flight-info/From Crown Point International airport: 5 minute walk - from the airport. Turn right on exiting the arrivals gate, and follow the road which curves to the left past the Crown Point police station, take the first road on the right - Old Storebay road. We are approximately 100 metres down this road on the right-hand side. We do not normally provide pick up service from the airport, because we are within walking distance, however if you have a lot of luggage, you can call us (639 9733) once you have reclaimed your baggage, and we will try to arrange transport of your luggage.Taxi - Alternatively, there are usually several taxis available outside the arrivals gate. A short ride (approx. one minute) should cost about $5 -10 US. From Scarborough Port Authority:Route Taxi (public transport) - A number of route taxis should be standing directly outside the Arrivals gate. Find the one going to Crown Point International airport. A 20 minute ride to the airport should cost approximately $1.00 US. Direct transport to Bananaquit apartments is possible for an extra couple of dollars. Private Taxi - These can be flagged down from the main road or called by phone.The usual charge for a trip to Crown Point area could be anything up to $10 US. what to find near us Beaches: Walking distance to two of the most popular beaches on the island. Only 5 mins to Storebay beach, a further 5 minutes to Bago's beach Bar and start of Pigeon Point's waterfront. Windsurfing/ Kitesurfing: Pigeon Point is also well-known for its more than favourable wind and surf conditions.Glass-bottom boat: tours to Buccoo Reef and the Nylon Pool are available from both beaches mentioned above. Diving: Tobago has a reputation for some of the Caribbean's best dive sites, and Bananaquit is located close to a number of diving operators. Guests can find out further information at reception.Entertainment: Crown Point has alot to offer, and is definitely a "must" as part of your visit to Tobago. Our self-catering facilities are therefore ideal for allowing our guests the flexibility to sample the many and varied bars, restaurants, nightclubs and cafes, all within 5 to 10 minutes walk. Article 1 Tobago is part of the twin island state of Trinidad and Tobago. We are the most southernly islands of the Caribbean and lie outside the hurricane belt, therefore a more popular vacation choice during Hurricane season. The two islands are 33km (21 miles) apart. Tobago has a central spine of hills rising up to 549 meters(1860 feet), with flatter lands in the south.Tobago has a land area of 300 km² (116 mi²), and is approximately 42 kilometres (26 Miles) long and 10 kilometres (6 miles) wide.
